Now that Year 11 have settled in I am writing to detail some of the key events coming up and to provide some useful information to support you and your child in this most important of years.
Year 11 have mock exams in nearly all subjects beginning on November 18th. In order to prepare for these exams we advise students to do at least 2 hours of revision each evening.
After School Revision
There are a wide range of after school opportunities available to Year 11 students detailed below. Room T13 is also open each evening for Homework Club until 4pm and students are able to use computers in there.

Students are told that it is important to be active in their revision. The more students can be encouraged to remember the key information they need to learn the better. Good strategies are: asking them to explain topics to you, short quizzes on key information, writing out notes from memory, completing past papers.
We will be holding an evening for parents entitled ‘Supporting Your Child In Their Revision’ on Tuesday 15th October at 7pm and an invitation letter will follow shortly.
Many thanks for your ongoing support. If you have any further questions are queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
