House assemblies and year assemblies complement the above programme, and cover a wide range of themes often associated with a given time of year, for example: Armistice Day, Black History Month, European Day of Languages, World Book Day, Holocaust Memorial Day, …
The school also invites a selection of professional speakers to host assemblies and workshops for students. Recent sessions have included road safety, healthy relationships (including issues of consent and domestic violence), knife crime and eSafety.
Beyond tutorial students’ understanding of health, wellbeing, relationships, money and society is developed across the school curriculum in subjects including, but not limited to, Politics, Beliefs & Society, Science, Food Technology, Computer Science, Physical Education, Mathematics, Health & Social Care, and Citizenship.
